This project focuses on the historical development of music in Spain, as well as modern musical styles and professional applications of music. Additionally, it evaluates the dissemination of music in contemporary media and in film.
This approach utilises both classroom resources and student resources in an experimental and practicalmanner.
This book is accompanied by a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) of resources for students, including audio recordings of all the units, as well as videos and other related documents.
What’s new in this edition:
• Working with the BAPNE method: we utilise the most up-to-date pedagogical approaches to teaching rhythm through group activities involving body percussion.
• Each unit has a world dances section.
• We have added new concert pieces based on existing compositions, along with video recordings of the pieces played on flute and reed instruments.
• Each term there will be two cooperative work projects.
• New annexes: creation of web pages with WIX and additional concerts.

The digital project for instructors contains interactive activities, curricular project, answer key, additional activities, assessment models, programmes, PowerPoint presentations, audio material, videos and infographics.
